Muyil was one of the earliest and longest inhabited ancient Maya sites on the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Open Daily from 8 am to 5 pm. There is a watchman at the gate who will charge you the standard fee & extra for video cameras.
Admission 2013 36 pesos. Free on Sundays for nationals and Mexican residents.

RECOMMENDATIONS
You can stroll safely undisturbed throughout the site as this is not a busy ruins for tourists. Take good shoes as there is plenty of walking and a fair amount memory and batteries for your photographs. As this is site is in a somewhat remote jungle area, take water and insect repellant. There are no restaurants or food vendors.
Dress according to the season you are visiting.

Tours and tour buses go frequently to Muyil from Tulum. Ask at your hotel or go to the web. Prices depend on what they offer, what is included and for how long.
Drive from Cancun:
Take Highway 307 South past Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Drive to 21 and look for the signs to Muyil. It is on your left.
